Return to Practice Guidelines **Please be advised Clients will receive a phone call the day prior to their appointment as part our enhanced COVID-19 safety protocols.** 1. Pre-Screening - Self assessment will be done by RMT daily, by the patient the day before the appointment, as well as upon entry to practice - Self assessment guidelines will be gone over with the patient for full comprehension; if you don’t meet the guidelines, stay home, and we will book again at a later date - Patient will be made aware that with self assessment upon entry will also be informed consent to treatment, both of which will have to occur for treatment to proceed - I will discuss the availability of PPE while at clinic, but also welcome patients to bring their own, as per their own comfort levels - Will discuss with patients at greater risk what additional precautions can be taken to ensure their safety 2. Screening Upon Arrival - Self assessment will be done by patient, informed consent will be discussed with RMT and consent given by patient - Appointment will be cancelled and rescheduled for later date if neither patient nor RMT meet pre screening needs, or consent to treatment - RMT will open the door for patient upon arrival; door handles/ surfaces that may be touched upon entry will be cleaned/sanitized between patients, prior to the next patients arrival - Patient will arrive alone, unless they are a minor, or infirm and need assistance, and will be called or texted as to when to leave car and enter the building after arrival - After treatment door will again be opened for patient - Physical distancing is not possible in treatment room 3. Hand Hygiene - Hand sanitizer will be provided and used upon entry to clinic - Hand washing with soap and water will occur after treatment for at least 20 seconds, before leaving clinic - RMT will wash hands often, for at least 20 seconds each time - Payment will be made by cash, cheque, or etransfer. If cash is handled, hands will be washed immediately after 4. Face Touching Avoidance - Discuss why face touching should be avoided with regards to virus transmission - Have tissues or masks or gloves available for patient and RMT use in regards to itching, sneezing, etc. 5. Enhanced Cleaning - RMT will provide info on cleaner used when asked - RMT will clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces in the patients path from entry to treatment room, including treatment room, in between patients - Linens, including masks if requested and used by RMT/patient, will be single use only, and will be changed and laundered between patients - RMT will clean surfaces again, including face cradle, in front of patient if requested - Oil bottle/equipment will be cleaned between each patient - Washroom available for patient use will be cleaned several times a day 6.
